What is Comedy? | Our Purpose | Help

Comic 231,088 - April 23, 2009

Comedy is a genre of fiction that consists of discourses or works intended to be humorous or amusing by inducing laughter, especially in theatre, film, stand-up comedy, television, radio, books, or any other entertainment medium.

Jokes, also called burlesques, vaudeville gags, slapstick, diversions, trifle, and theatrical jokes are examples of comedy.  In the case of these humorous works, there are a number of other popular works of fiction written in the genre of comedy, which is known as "the comedy of a century." Here is a collection of works in the form of "Jokes For Friends And Family". Thanks.
